Works well, 2 Nov. 2016
I wasn't sure if this device would work on both toe and finger nails, and how safe it would be. I was pleasantly surprised that it works very well, trimming the nail bit by bit, not clipping it. It feels very safe as the trimming shake place inside a very narrow opening, thus it would be quite difficult to hurt the skin I give it 4 stars for two shortcomings: the packaging states that one side "clips" and the other files the nail, but it does not specify which is which. The item comes without instructions either. The other issue is the design. Although the device comes with a space to hold the nail trimmings, many fall directly from the cutting piece, so you need to use it over a mat or place you can clean afterwards.

It is sturdy, easy to use and clean, 23 Feb. 2017
Bought this for my daughter in law who was frightened to cut my baby grandson's nails. This is ideal for her . She now uses it all the time. It is sturdy, easy to use and clean. I have ordered another for my use.

I honestly didn't expect this to be as good as it is., 29 April 2017
I was amazed at how well this works, It is not as noisy as I expected and it has a nice smooth action that does not feel in any way like grinding or rasping. I was expecting to have to use a nail file afterwards, but that proved to be quite unnecessary. The action is gentle and easily controllable. I did a very quick clipper cut first, to speed things up, and then used it in place of a file for shaping and finishing. It was also very easy to clean with the aid of the included wee brush.
