Not undetectable, but nicely discreet, 23 Oct. 2014

Originally we tried the king size version of this mattress protector because, we thought, having measured our bed, the king size was supposed to be the right fit. As it happens we have to stand corrected- this is a much better fit, and stretches easily into place, which actually makes this much better than I originally thought. For some reason it's not nearly as noticeable when you're lying on it as the king size one- gone is the feeling that you're actually lying on a hospital bed. I can definitely still tell that it's there, but hopefully given time I can get used to it.

That said, you can still tell somehow that there is a layer of plastic between you and the mattress. And being a plastic layer, there is still a very slight audible squeak when you turn over in bed (and before you wonder, I might be a bit podgy but it's not excessive, I promise).

It has good, stretchy nylon sides, which are sturdy and don't seem likely to stretch or rip or bobble or weaken or...

No rustling, soft, good product, 16 Oct. 2014

This is a really nicely made waterproof mattress protector - a luxurious soft cotton upper surface offers the breathable element and a polyurethane lower surface protects the mattress from fluids. The fitted element works well, but they did go a little cheap and skimp on the elasticated side mesh. It's a bit weak compared to the rest of the protector and will probably wear out first. Saying the product is breathable is also a little misleading - the polyurethane isn't breathable but the cotton layer does allow some breathing, so it's not like Goretex and you will get a little warmer than normal by using the protector.Other than that, this is a very good product with minimal noise during the night and one of the best quality protectors we've used.

Great mattress protector., 21 Oct. 2014

We love this mattress protector. The top layer is really soft to the touch whilst the waterproof layer is very effective without bing crinkly or too warm. We tested its waterproof feature and it is 100% waterproof.I agree with previous reviews. Our little one has only slept on our bed a couple of times, so we only got it as a generic mattress protector for us (and we don't need it to be 100% waterproof!), Another potential use is for when you are pregnant and you are worried that your waters will break while you are in bed or for older relatives with incontinence problems. So, if you don't have any of the situations above, perhaps you can buy a cheaper alternative.
