Meal times are normally the busiest points of the day in most households, and more often than not, young children ask to sit on one of the 'grown-up' dining chairs like their brother, sister, mum or dad to feel completely part of the action. Any parent knows that isn't always the most practical or safest of options! Our dining chair harness will adapt almost any chair into a safe seat for a small child, allowing them to enjoy meals with the rest of the family. This can prove invaluable when you are out and about, especially on holiday, in a restaurant or at a hotel where highchairs are not always available.

It simply attaches under the seat, then when your child sits on the chair, the waistband secures around both your youngster and the seat back. Attachment points are included to fit a safety harness for extra security.

This is a wonderful bit of kit! I am a childminder who has a small size table for the children to sit at on smaller size chairs. These harnesses are so portable I can just unclip it to wash, take to groups, or to visit friends or on outings. It is a dream to fit and is really secure for little ones or bigger 'less able to sit still for two seconds' ones. This was my third one of these - not that any have broken, but I have two under 2's and like to keep one harness in my travel bag for the baby when we are out so I always have a 'high chair' for him. I find these far better than the bulky inflateable seats as you can just pop it in your bag - as you can see I'm a convert! My oldest 'harness' is about 4 years old, and other than looking a bit 'washed out' due to washing is still as perfect as the day I bought it - a great investment in my opinion!!

These are fab. Had an old one that was once my husband's! Design changed when got this new one but still ever so handy as folds up to be packed into his changing bag. Essential if visiting friends who are baby free. One thing I would say is to get the shoulder straps. My 6 month old son is pretty secure in it usually but once managed to somehow lean forward far enough, when I was cleaning him, to eat his toes! He'd wriggled the belly band down a bit while eating. Problem solved with the shoulder harness and I don't leave him unsupervised in it anyway.
