Just what I was looking for., 11 April 2012

I'm in the states and a decent harness is not to be found. I'm 65 and they were common in my childhood. And they were always leather. My sister was a year younger than I and I suppose we were a handful but less so on a rein. The same thing for when we were seated. I now have my daughter and three year old grandson living with me. We had cloth harnesses when she was young and went through a fair number of them Very poorly made and the ones I can find now are worse. So I went looking everywhere and found that I could get one from the UK. I give my cousins on the other side of the pond for having the good sense to have decent ones available. In regard to this item it was everything I had dreamed of. The leather looks sound and well riveted together. The buckles are a roller type making drawing them up for a snug fit easier. You would be well served to have this harness for your children. It seems that it will outlast more than one child.

Traditional style reins, great for new walkers, 3 Dec. 2015

My little boy loves walking, but still stumbles and has no sense of direction. I remember having traditional style reins as a child, but finding something similar these days as been a bit of a struggle. I was pleasantly surprised to find these in amongst all the novelty animal shaped ones, which don't offer much control over the child, or helps to keep them upright when they're still wobbly on their feet. These are a strong leather, with a breast plate to provide comfort for little ones and are adjustable for use with older children. My son is eighteen months and these fit fine, currently over his winter coat. They also offer the control that's needed over a wobbly tot with a mind of his own. There is one slight complaint, which is nothing at all really, but as the leather has been cut, they're producing a lot of 'dust' which gets on baby's clothes and on my hands which holding the reins. Reins, 10 Jun. 2014

Wanted some proper old fashioned reins for my grandson and these fit the bill. Would have been nice if they were lined with white felt liked they used to be when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, but you can't have everything.
