Watch out for size!, 28 Feb. 2011

I bought this to secure a cupboard containing craft stuff against my 21 month old; it seems fairly sturdy, but no-where on any packaging or in any description does it tell you that your door handles have to be so close together. The handles on my cupboard are 14cm apart at the most but this won't fit.

Way too small!, 21 May 2011

This lock is way too small.The cupboard handles have to be no more than 6cm apart.Unfortunately standard cupboard door handles (eg. Ikea) are usually 9cm or more apart.Although the product looks good, it is totally useless and is going in the bin. Shame the product details didn't include this, as I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

We have about 10 of these locks in our kitchen where the cabinets have double handles and they are excellent. They've been on for over 12 months, easy to remove (for adults!) and have been perfect at keeping little hands out of the cupboards. A simple press release to open the catches mean we hardly know they are even there but neither our child or friends children have ever been able to open the cupboards, work out how to open the catch or break them (see other reviewer)!
