Great Product - No more doors slamming in wind, 27 Aug. 2008

This is a great little product. There are 2 door catches in each pack.The white is simple and stylish, and with screws included very easy to install.Nice white plastic, that doesnt "squeak" when the door clasps shut.*TIP* I found screwing in the larger portion first was easy, then by using some "blue-tak" against the back of the second smaller portion, it would allow me to aline it (the 2 parts in their final positions) for a perfect join before I marked for drilling.5 stars. i dont have kids, but wanted my doors to stay firmly open when the wind blows in summer.

not so great, 30 Mar. 2010

I bought these door catches to stop our 10 month old son from shutting the living room door when we go out of the room! On taking them out of the packet they seemed quite sturdy and the catch seemed to hold very well so things looked promising. I attached the parts easily but wasn't convinced on how strongly the door was held. I gave my son 2 weeks before he pulled the door free, and my husband gave him 2 days! It actually took him half a day!! Needless to say I'm now looking for a different door catch and I wish I hadn't bothered with these!

Please don't waste your money, 27 Feb. 2012

I wish I had read these reviews before I wasted my money on this item. The catch was very easy to fit, however it was also very easy to uncatch!! The door practically slipped out of the catch when gently nudged. A small baby could easy release the door from the catch with a gentle push.Please don't make the mistake I did and waste your money and time buying and fitting this item. In the end I fitted a simple hook and eye catch (50p) at the top of the door. Job done!
