Gate looks good but that's where the positives end sadly. Old Lindam gate took about 2 minutes to set up; this took me about an hour and in the end the same part broke twice! For a start the supplied spanner is useless but I didn't have another to fit so persevered with it. It's a fairly quick job to get the 4 spindles into place but tightening each one the correct amount to get the latch to align at the top is where it starts getting interesting. When it is eventually lined up the gate seems to twist so the catch at the bottom doesn't work correctly and pops out when the gate auto-closes with a bit of speed. Eventually with all the adjustments the plastic lug on one of the spindle casings broke off. To be fair to Clippasafe they sent a replacement part very quickly but the very same thing happened again so the gate will be going back and will be replaced by another Lindam gate. Absolutely not recommended.

May be the most amazing product in the world, but the instructions definitely are not, 29 Sept. 2015
I bought this based upon a need to get a door opening pressure fit gate for a 95cm gap.Based on the previous reviews I thought this would fit the bill.Although the gate looks well made enough, the instructions are probably the worst I have tried to decipher.I tried.The other half tried.My brother who has a degree in engineering tried.We all gave up.I think the issue isn't the gate itself, it's how to fit the extensions - it made no sense.If you're considering buying one I'd urge you to download the pdf instructions and see if they make sense to you.I returned our gate to Amazon being unable to install it.

A sturdy barrier - what a relief!, 27 Nov. 2015
A really elegant and easy to work gate. The extensions were really useful in fitting it to our quirky stairs. The only frustration is that the spanner provided was so poorly made that it didn't even fit the nuts - but we had spanners that did fortunately.
