This makeup palette has highly pigmented shades; all shadows can also be applied wet for a deeper longer lasting effect. The compact case makes it easy for storing and traveling.


The case has a matte surface and measures 9" x 6.5" (23 cm x 16.5 cm) closed. The pots are Dime Size around and contain plenty of powder for many uses.


The colors do not have a ton of shimmer in them: if this is what you are looking for, you can always dust shimmer over top as I did in the above photo. It is nearly a 50/50 mix of matte and satin with slight shimmer.

The best things about this is how rich the colour is. u only need to use a little bit and its so easy to blend. I bought the matte pallette but there are a few shimmery colours in it too. you can combine the colours to create all sorts of looks. it doesnt flake off. i found that some eyeshadows like pink when applied to darker skin it wouldn't come out as pink but purple however thats not the case with these. the colour came out exactly like hw it is on the palette. Atleast it did for me. I suppose the only downside is the price. it is quite expensive for me as i am a student but considering how long it will last me i am seeing it as a good investment lol. Although it is cheaper directly from the coastal scents site, the cost increases due to shipping and possible import charges ect so i opted to buy it from amazon as i trusted this site.

This palette has a wide variety of colours to choose from and they are easy to blend. The eyeshadows have a great matte or satin finish which I love. You can create either neutral or dramatic looks with this palette and so it is very versatile. The only disadvantage of this palette is that some of the pigments can be quite chalky/powdery. It would be a good idea to apply an eyeshadow primer or a cream eyeshadow as a base. Other than this the colours are easy to build/blend and are beautiful and vibrant. Using a primer or base will bring the colour out more, make them last longer and appear smoother on the eyelid.

After the negative reviews from the Beauty B orders on the packaging and the broken state of some palletes I was a bit nervous when waiting for my order but I was pleasantly surprised :) It was wrapped in thick, big bubble wrap so nothing was broken - there was a thin sheet between the pallete and the mirror so if anything did the mirror would stay spotless!The colours for me were pretty well pigmented but for lighter shades you will need an eye primer if you don't want to pack it on (e.l.f has a good cheap one).Very good for newbies!
