Colonna Extra virgin olive oil Superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical means. It is produced on marina colonna's in the Molise region, relying on natural fertilisers and ecologically sustainable agriculture. The olives of selected varieties, each typical of the area, are harvested by hand and cold processed on the estate within twenty four hours of picking. This unfiltered oil is golden yellow with an undertone of warm, grassy tones. Delicate in flavour with fresh fruitiness is accentuated by a wonderful pungency typical of the olives from which it is produced - Prepare and Use: The peppery flavour of this oil make it perfect for using raw in dressings and to finish off soups and other dishes. Mix with balsamic vinegar for a delicious dip for bread. Drizzle over a tuscan bean soup or use to dress a green rocket salad.
