Extremely sturdy well made heavy plastic construction that makes this laundry basket feel a quality item. Finished in an off white almost ivory colour, this basket comes in two pieces, those being the lid, and the basket container. The lid is attached easily by means of a hinge bar which is slotted into place within a choice of two positions, this facilitates either side opening with the hinge placed on the left narrow side, or the more conventional front opening, with the hinge placed at the rear along the wider edge. Attaching the hinge bar is done so by slightly bending the supple plastic bar so that it locates into two holes, one either side of the hinge recess. All that remains is gor the lid to placed into its closed position, and a little pressure applied so that the lid clips onto the hinge bar. It may sound complicated, but believe me its so simple it only takes 30 seconds to do. Once you've made your choice of how you want it to open , your all done. It will hold a full 60...

Very sturdy, all you need to do when it arrives is fix the lid on. The lid can be opened either width side or length side. There is a small rod that you need to bend slightly to allow it to slot into place, and the lid simply snaps onto this rod. There is also a spare rod. The capacity is great, the product is of good quality and doesn't snag any of the clothes. I ended up buying 2 - one cream for the 'lights' and one dark brown for the 'darks'.

Good looking laundry basket, good quality and a good size that would easily fit a complete king size bedding plus more.But I must say that the measurements are wrong! They are given as 348 x 341 x 615 cm but I suspect that the seller meant mm and not cm. However, with that in mind, the measurements are still not accurate. I only noticed this discrepancy because I had measured a specific space where I wanted this basket to fit into length-wise and it didn't fit.So the actual measurements are: Length 44.3 cm, Width/Depth 33.4 cm, Height 60.8 cmThe length and width are measured at the widest points which is the top of the basket.
