Not Warm On The Sand.. But Warm On The Sofa, 6 Nov. 2016

What little girl doesn't want to become a "Mermaid" (Just as long as it's fins for feet and not the other way around.. gross)...my middle child loves Disney it goes without saying Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" is one of the top 3 of her favourite classics. I've seen these available primarily at stall markets nearby, although they look the part and would make my little girl happy, these are of course handmade.. this comes with the wait or preordering and collecting at a later date. So not really ideal if you have a special occasion and needed within a specified time frame, this is where this item has come in handy since I have her birthday 3 weeks prior to Christmas. Simply handmade without the wait.

Whilst using this Mermaid Tail blanket, I have come across both its positive/negative points from my own user experience. These are entirely my own I'm not staying you may have the same experience as this is completely individual to ones own opinion...

Lovely Novel Idea But Most Importantly Warm And Well Made, 27 Oct. 2016

Please note that the seller sent me a Purple Mermaid Tail Children's Blanket at no cost and with no obligation to provide a review.

I'll be honest that originally when I first spotted these Mermaid Tail Blankets a couple of months ago, I thought they were just a cheap fad for this year but I have to say that I have been completely won over by the blankets and not only do both of my children have them but I also have one myself and they are so cosy and warm on these colder nights now that winter is on its way.

My daughter loves this purple blanket and obviously the reason she loves it is due to its shape looking like a Mermaid tail. Despite the shape having a cosmetic appeal it also has a practical side as this means it fits nicely over the legs, feet and chest and has a snugger fitting than a loose blanket to help hold the heat in.

There is a little opening at the bottom of the main foot part which you will see on my attached photos and whilst my...

A lovely blanket that any mermaid fans would love., 5 Nov. 2016

I've had one of these blankets on my Christmas shopping list for my 8 year old niece who is Mermaid's mad. So when I was offered to test this item for a discount, I was elated.

The blanket that I ordered was the purple one. It is a great length for a young child at being just over a metre long (not including the fins). The wool is lovely and soft and will make a lovely comfy blanket.

The blanket is stitched slightly up the back, so that the child can place their legs in it and put their feet into the fin part (stitching comes up to just above the ankle - it is possible to walk with the blanket on as there is holes in the bottom to put feet, though it would be like wearing a tight skirt :-)

A lovely blanket that any mermaid fans would love.

As it is a Christmas present, I haven't washed it to see how it would fair, but with no instructions and it being wool I would say wash it at a low temperature, or hand wash.

**I received this item...
