I have always had problem skin due to suffering from PCOS. This mask arrived really well packaged first in a little white cardboard box and then shrinkwrapped. I opened the lid and the mask itself does look like mud a sort of brown/green colour and a very thick consistency, I didn't think it would smell nice looking at it but when i smelled it it didn't smell bad at all just had a moisturiser sort of smell to it bit like baby lotion. I applied it to my entire face and neck avoiding my eye area and lips and left it to dry which did take slightly longer than 5 mins but I didn't mind it wasn't uncomforable to wear and didn't pull on my skin so I just left it to do its magic. The mud inside smelt faintly fragrant but not overpowering, it was smooth and soft to touch. I applied the mud l librerally all over my face avoiding my eyes nose and mouth.
