A good inexpensive self tanner that works well as long as care is taken when applying, 27 Oct. 2015

This is a nice light textured cream with good moisturising qualities that gently tints your skin to give you a tan, this is the darker, more noticeable shade.

Doves false tan has come a long way, this smells much better than it did even a few years ago, more sweet flowery and less broken biscuits. Meaning that this doesn't give your self tanning secret away!

The coverage is only as good as the application, it is best to moisturise dry areas like elbows, ankles and knees before putting this on as the dry skin here tends to over absorb the tanning cream and give a darker patch. Streaks are harder to avoid and because this cream soaks in completely leaving no visible trace, so uneven application can not be spotted until the following day when the tan has developed. The only thing that has ever helped me with this is using only a small amount and rubbing in the cream for a good long time.

To build the tan takes time, at least a couple of nights before it is a tan instead of...

Although I am light skinned; in the summer I find that a self tanning lotion for medium to darker skin gives me the colour that I really need to bare my legs. This is a nice cream to use, which feels moisturising as well as adding extra colour. The tan builds up slowly and looks quite natural. This is ideal for darker skin, as well as giving light skin a really good tan for those summer months when you may be baring more flesh than normal and want to have a good colour.This is a good combination body lotion with the addition of the self tan. The tube is a good size (200ml) and applies easily and is absorbed quickly. It doesn’t streak, although you may want to use latex gloves or a sponge to apply this, so the colour does not come onto your hands. A very nice buy and will give you a good tan safely.

Works well to recapture and prolong my summer tan., 27 Oct. 2015

I'm olive skinned naturally, and after two weeks in Greece during the summer, built up a rich, dark, chocolate brown colour that I was thrilled with. Sadly however, in the last 6 weeks, it has gradually started to fade and so I was really hopeful that this lotion might restore and maintain some of that colour.

I've never used a self-tan lotion before, so have nothing to compare this to but found it lightly, pleasantly scented, and easy to rub into my skin. It spreads quite well and so a little goes a long way, however I'm using it over the whole of my legs, every day, so one tube is only going to last about two weeks. Within a week, I am already noticing a deepening to the colour. I suspect that the natural, warm colour I'm getting might be due to the fantastic tan that was already there, and the results might not be so good on basic, untanned skin.

For me though, to recapture some of the faded tan, and prolong what's left, I'm very happy with the results and will definitely...
