Dreambaby Sliding Door and Window Locks (Transparent) is available in Security Sets
The Dreambaby Sliding Door & Window Lock can be used on most sliding doors (glass and other surfaces) and windows. Gap between the glass & the sliding door/window must be between 8mm & 33mm. For suitable doors and windows, the door/window will be able to slide as usual right over the disengaged lock.

I spent some time looking for the ideal solution for sliding doors and I must say that all the extremely positive feedback on this item both on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk was enough for me to buy 3 packs (yeah, I have a lot of patio and closet sliding doors and my kid just loves to play with them. I also need to buy one more pack, probably).
It is super easy to install. Just peel of the paper that is over the adhesive and apply.
I sticked perfectly on both glass and wood and unlocking doors is also simple and effective: pull a pin and flatten the device. To close it again just pull up the rotating piece and the pin will lock it as soon as it is 90 degrees with the glued section of the device.
As an industrial designer I must say these little devices seem to be more than sturdy enough for the job and should not break easily. Not sure about the pin and its coil spring, but I guess I'll know that in a couple of months.
I guess they could chop...

After you put the locks in the glass it's tempting to try them and open the door against the lock. Don't do that, the tape needs 24 hours to cure, so it's normal that before that time the lock will come out when forced (I did that...). After 24 hours it's very strong and it supports the children attempts to open the door (or the adults when we forget it's looked, because it's all transparent).
I only had problems with two of 8 locks. One of these I installed in the wrong position, without reading the instructions, so it was destroyed. The other was also in the wrong position and I pulled it off and repositioned it. Eventually it came off because of that change, so I contacted the company to know what tape to use and they were fast in the reply: they told me I could use any double sided tape or silicone. I had tried a very different type of double sided tape and it didn't work, so I used the silicone, waited 24 hours, and now it's very well fixed.
This is...
