It uses the IKEA self-assembly long bolts and countersunk nuts system. 2 of the holes for the bolts were not drilled, 1 of the drilled holes was off-centre making it impossible to bring nut and bolt in line. Very puzzling. It took a day - a drill - long wood-screws and some cussing to put it together. Once assembled, it is very solid, and our grandson slept very well in it. Quality Control required before it leaves the factory.

Very pleased with this cot bed. It arrived beautifully packed and was easy to assemble. Look forward to my grandson sleeping in it.

Bought for our second baby and for the price this is a great product. Put it together in about 20mins and it is sturdy once up. Easy to convert to the cot bed mode. Only negative, and I'm not sure if it's the bed or the mattress, but bought a 140x70 mattress as it should be, and it is about 3-4cms too wide for the bed making it very ill fitting and almost bent if you try and fit it in. Our daughter isn't in it yet so currently deciding whether to buy a new mattress for it.
