Amazing product for children with additional needs, 10 Nov. 2015

Having a nephew with additional needs I was pleased to be able to find an item suitable for his needs. It is very hard to find suitable toys and accessories. I was very excited when I came across this range of products that seemed perfect gifts.

My nephew suffers with severe brain damage after contracting viral encephalitis as a baby. At nine years old he is now confined to a wheelchair with limited fine motor skills and difficulty controlling his vision. Although he can weight bear for short periods he spends a lot of time in a reclining chair or on the floor so finding suitable toys to stimulate him is vital. He has the mental age of a toddler.

With this item you get two 'necklaces'. My nephew was instantly intrigued with these items and reached out to grab them. He often puts things in his mouth so it is great to find a product made specifically for this purpose. The pendants themselves are a good size and attached to a cord so no risk of choking which is very important...

This is a great resource for children with special needs. It is very well made and quite sturdy. It is easy to keep clean and hygienic. The colour is bright and fashionable and the children I work with are fascinated with it . I work with parents and carers for children with special needs and trauma, and this sensory toy is a great chew aid for children who need to have something to bite on which is discreet and fashionable. This was definitely good value for money. I can't wait to see other products from this company.

I'm annoyed as the listing states suitable for over 36 months. Yet it arrived today and says not suitable for under 12 years old! What a waste of £20 as we can't use it for my 3 year old!
