this pack has 4 knob covers for your oven knobs to stop little hands turning them (at best, ruining your baking, at worst, turning the gas on). We got these today and they are a really clever design. They fit over the knobs and cover them. if the child tries to turn the cover, it just spins away from the actual oven control. The design of the cover also means the catch is at the top of the knob , which is easier to undo (assuming your knobs are positioned on a vertical surface)One small note: for these to work your knobs *cannot* be:- more than about 4cm diameter- closer than about 6cm apart- recessed in any way: the cover sits between the oven door and the knob when fitted so there needs to be a potential space between them (which is why we couldn't use them on the washing machine knob)and they *must* be- able to be removed by pulling the knob straight outwardsHTH.

easy to put on, but knobs on the cooker have to be spaced quite far apart - they don't fit on my cooker and its quite a new one. Very hard to open when you actually want to turn the gas on - so does the job! But useless to me as do not fit on my cooker!

I have an increasingly nosey German Shepard cross who somehow the other week knocked a kitchen roll onto the hob, then lit it!!!I looked into buying a clamping guard before I came across these. At less than 10% of the price of the metal guard I am ecstatic! (can you tell from all the exclamation marks??!!!)Easy to fit (and remove when the time comes) and once you realise how to open them - simple to use.It's not difficult - push in clasp with you thumb and steady it on the hinge with your index finger and flip.Maybe just me and my partner being stupid but did take a practice - a child couldn't do it and neither can may pyromaniac pup, and really that's all that matters.Highly recommend for all parents of aspiring fire starters - furry or regular.......
