I am an electrician and am persuaded by the content of:

fatallyflawed.org.uk (that's: fatallyflawedDOTorgDOTuk)

And I'm far from the only electrician to think this:

But congratulations for checking the reviews so as to get as far as this type of repeated content.

The only problem is that most buyers will only get as far as to note the product's average star rating , and for this reason I'd ask you to consider adding your own review.

Here's some cut and paste food for thought.

Do not reinsert any of these unsafe covers which you may have in use.

Socket Covers should NOT be inserted into sockets - they are dangerous!

British 13 Amp sockets have built in automatic shutters to protect against children poking things in.

First introduced 65 years ago, they are considered the safest in the world and do not require external covers.

No responsible national body recommends using socket covers.

Giving one star because I can't give zero.

I've never bought this product and I never will, I am just adding my voice to those other commenters, hoping I can influence people to find out the truth about socket protectors on fatallyflawed DOT org DOT uk (Not just this item, all socket protectors)

Looking at the picture of this item I'm not sure the design of it will completely cover the live and neutral "holes" - looking at the picture zoomed in it certainly looks like you could get a straightened-out paper clip into the "live" hole with the protector in place. If I'm right about that then then you're inserting a product which defeats the protection built in to the socket and then leaves it open! I know the product details say to majke sure the socket is swtiched off when the cover is in use - but if you're confident that little fingers can't switch the socket on then you don't ned a cover anyway!

If you must plug something in to keep little fingers out...

Not safer actually more dangerous!, 30 Oct. 2012

By using any of these plug "covers" you are actually making the socket more dangerous for your children - UK sockets have built in safety covers which these things stop working - don't buy them - don't take my word - search youtube for more info on these stupid things
