I have tried countless curling products on my long, thick hair and none have even remotely lived up to expectations.I expected this to be yet another (expensive) hair curler fail.So - I plugged it in, ramped it up to full temperature on all 3 sections, left it for about 10s (it doesn't have a heat ready light), wound a section of hair around the barrel, held it for about 5 seconds (I'm impatient) let it go and almost dropped the styler in shock! I had a curl, a nice, tight bouncy curl. My hair has flatly (no pun intended) failed to produce even a reluctant wave in the past.And it stayed in - it looked 'just curled' for 24 hours, and even 48 hours later it's still obviously wavy (depsite a lot of brushing).It's lightweight, easy to use (once you've got a grip of the mini-flipper) - and it works! Plus the 'stay cool tip' actually stays cool!100% recommendation.

Excellent luxury looking styler for a very reasonable price, 3 Dec. 2015

I was in two minds about buying this because its not by a known brand, but I trusted the other reviews and the price was very good. This is a solid item, heavy, but still easy to handle. It comes in a nice box, which makes it look far more expensive than it is, a luxury looking product. The idea that you could adjust the three sections of the barrel appealed to me as I've been concerned that I'm frazzling the ends of my hair with over styling. being able to set the bottom of the barrel on a lower heat, whilst maintaining a higher heat through the rest of the barrel prevents too much heat at the ends whilst providing enough heat further up to produce a good curl. It takes a it of practise to get the curl right, as it does with any new product, but this far easier to get to grips with than some Stylers. . I particularly struggle with the wand Stylers, so am pleased that this comes with a clamp. The advantage of this styler is that the clamp only runs an inch or so up the styler...
