Having tried a Baby Bjorn which both my sons outgrew by the time they were just a few months old, I wanted something versatile that I could use instead of a buggy when on holiday on the farm and down on the beach. I also suffer from a bad back, so the thought of carrying a heavy baby around was not particularly appealing. Having read the reviews on the Ergo Baby Carrier I ordered it in Navy. I use it every day now, it is so comfortable, it does not hurt my back and my 9 month old son is so comfy in it he falls asleep! The hood is great for bad weather protection but just as good for supporting their heads and necks if they fall asleep. The supportive waist band is so comfortable that you hardly know your carrying such a heavy weight around. This is just a fantastic product and I really wished I'd bought it when my first son was a baby.

We bought a Baby Bjorn Active before the bub was born but very quickly realised I couldn't handle the weight load across my back even with a newborn and our doula suggested this. Great buy so far and we use it almost every day - the kid loves it and falls asleep almost instantly in it. The real beauty of the Ergobaby is that it spreads the weight over your hips rather than back (which is important as I am very petite) and the hood which keeps out the wind and helps settle the kid. It would get 5 stars if it weren't so difficult to clip on at the back (on this front the baby bjorn wins) but you get the hang of it eventually.Kid is now 13 weeks old. Overall money well spent.

I use it for walking and going into the city from my baby's firth month. The weight is distributed around hip so it doesn't strain on the back. Love carrying baby so close to me and we can look at each other. The front pocket is useful for a small wallet or keys when just walking to corner shop.
