Perfect for swaddling your baby, I used blankets when mine where young and I tried these on my newest grandchild instead of the blanket. I found them to not over heat the baby like a blanket can. I found them soft to the touch and noticed that baby didnt fuss like he did when he got a tad to warm with the blanket, so this was a big improvement.

There is an instruction booklet that shows you step by step how to put your baby in it correctly and give them comfort & peace of mind for a restful sleep. I have noticed over the years that babies who are swaddled seem to sleep better in the night than the ones that dont (from my own family observations only) Like my newborn grandson would not settle so I showed my daughter how to swaddle him and he would sleep every night after that. It is the security they feel like they had in the womb. So we changed from the blanket to this swaddled pack and found he settled all night, as he wasnt sweating as much and looked more comfy than he...

There has been debate over the safety of swaddling, with hip displacement and over-heating the main causes of concern. Ergobaby has sought to overcome these difficulties and have therefore come up with this well designed swaddler. The fabric is 100% cotton terry so will help regulate baby's temperature and help ensure overheating shouldn't occur (obviously keeping an eye on baby is essential). The swaddler is also designed to promote healthy hip position and the baby's natural 'frog leg' position.It comes down to personal choice whether you swaddle or not. If you choose to, I would suggest you use something like this rather than try to swaddle using a blanket as this will help ensure your baby is safer. It might seem expensive for 2 swaddlers but baby safety is more important.

The swaddlers were given to my brother who has a newborn, and both her and my sister in law are very pleased with them.They keep the baby snug and warm, and are easy to use too - helped by a very handy instruction booklet which tells you how to wrap the baby most effectively.The quality of the cotton is very good too - and reduces sweating and discomfort for both baby and parent.Overall a great quality product!
