These are fantastic bathroom scales

Our “Etekcity Digital Bathroom Scales” arrived promptly thanks to Amazon. The scales were well packaged with full and clear instructions (not that they are really necessary)!

I like the fact that they come already supplied with the 2 AAA batteries necessary to power them. I also particularly like these stylish slim line scales with (in our case) a stainless steel finish with a strong tempered glass top. They really look good and will enhance any bathroom. The backlit digital display is very clear and large enough to read from a distance (in my case, being tall – 2m!).

By default these scales measure in Kg which is fine by me. If you still deal in ‘old money’ they can be set to display in stones or pounds. They also appear to be very accurate and tally with other scales I have used.

Simple + Strong + Minimalist = Perfect, 1 Sept. 2016

Sometimes less is more and these scales are a fantastic example of this. Lovely simple streamlined and minimalist which is just what my brain needs first thing in the morning when I step on the scales. They come with 2 batteries already installed and all you have to do is pull the plastic tab. Having batteries makes a change and so the scales are ready to go out of the box. They are beautifully simple – step on them and they turn on, weigh you (or whatever you have put on them) and display the weight clearly thanks to a backlit display. Step off and a few seconds later they turn themselves off. On the back is a push button switch for you to choose between metric and imperial and they can take up to 180 kg which I seriously hope I never reach. I suppose a minor criticism is that they only display your weight in pounds when using imperial and not stone and pounds but it is not a big issue. The stainless steel surface looks great and...

stylish, accurate and great value for money, 4 Sept. 2016

The first thing to notice about these digital bathroom scales is the sleek, modern, stylish design. The brushed stainless steel silver looks great and will look good regardless of your bathroom colour. Really easy to wipe clean and look so much cleaner and brighter than my old glass scales. There are instructions but you don't really need to read through them to get started, just pull the plastic tag from the battery compartment on the back (batteries included) click the kgs/lbs button to select which weight measurement you want to weigh yourself in, put them on the ground and stand on them - simples.

As with all weigh scales you need to place these on a completely flat surface, or you will not get an accurate result. It is no good plonking them down on your shagpile carpet, these are most accurate on an uncarpeted, even floor. If you use them this way they are remarkably accurate! Being on a health kick I now weigh myself weekly in boots, so I decided to review these...
