Wooden High Chair, 14 Sept. 2013

I purchased this for use when my two baby grandsons visit. It takes up less space than I expected and looks good. The baby is able to sit up well in it without sliding because of the short back to front dimensions of the seat. On the minus side the holes for attaching the clips to the tray were slightly off-kilter and the screws supplied were slightly too long. There were one or two slightly rough areas - easily sanded down though. I made new cushions as those supplied were of poor quality. Overall though very pleased with this product for the price. I particularly like the fact that without the tray the chair can sit at the table and look just like an ordinary chair.

Totally mis-described and not fit for purpose, 19 Sept. 2013

Despite being described as having a removable tray, what thy actually mean is if you totally dismantle he chair you can leave the tray off and convert it to a normal chair. The strap that holds your child in is connected to the tray so it is rendered completely useless as a high chair if you take the tray off. I wanted a high chair that could take the tray off between meals to clean it etc but this is not possible so it is extremely misleading to describe it as a removable tray. All other high chairs with this description do actually have trays you can easily take off and put back on as needed.

The seller was unprepared to pay return postage therefore it wasn't worth the cost of returning it and they were extremely unhelpful. Their stance was basically that no be else has complained about the description (maybe other buyers didn't care whether it had a removable tray) so I was just being awkward and unreasonable expecting it to do what I'd bought it for. And amazon refused...
