...having been looking for a hot water bottle ribbed on both sides for quite some time I've found them. I'm not a fan of covers for hot water bottles even if they are removable.

I'm amazed that we've been using these already- in the summer? Well, when needs must, we have had some pretty chilly nights as well as scorching hot days.

When brand new this has a slight plastic smell to it but that soon went. Being plastic instead of rubber they feel a quiet light and insubstantial when empty, but how they perform is more important.

These deliver the heat at just the right rate for me.

I've seen complaints about other bottles going cold quickly, not lasting all night, etc. Never have understood that as the bottle can only contain so much heat, even if it's filled with boiling water. So if it releases it quickly it will cool more quickly. This one doesn't feel very hot from the start, just pleasantly warm but does so for a long time.

Wonderful invention, which keeps my feet lovely and warm on those freezing cold nights and, importantly, is safe. Plastic doesn't perish in the way that rubber does so I don't feel nervous about it bursting open and scalding. Happy with the product.

Easy to fill with hot water, lasts all night on an 80% boiling 20% cold mix, 1.5 litres total. No smell whatsoever. Ribbed design means very gentle on the skin, does not burn. A great basic product.
