A very Sturdy Cot/Sofa/Bed, 27 Nov. 2015

The Snow White Sleigh Cot is a very sturdy cot with a large integral storage drawer.It has a modern and contemporary look and feel and is sure to complement any nursery or room it resides within.With its sturdy construction, the 80% solid beech wood cot can easily be converted to a sofa / day bed for prolonged useIt features 3 base heights and a handy storage drawer which effortlessly glides underneath which is just perfect for keeping baby’s numerous bits and pieces out of sight, but also close at hand.It comes with a free jersey cotton mattress protector which can be washed again and again.This is a solid 80% wood cot that comes flat packed.It took two of us approx 1.5 hours to assemble.It is heavy so please be careful.Best to assemble it in the room where the baby is going to sleep, as maneuvering it around is a no-no.I really like this cot.It will last ages and then be passed on.

Shhhh! You'll wake the baby, 2 Dec. 2015

Blimey, this was heavy to carry indoors from where the delivery man left it. Nearly four stone of dead weight, so it's probably advisable to put this together in the room where it's going to stay, but I'm sure you had already thought of that.

The first thing you want to know is that it will take two of you to assemble (you to supervise, her to put it together). It isn't difficult, merely time consuming but considering who it's for, it will be time well spent. An hour or so later, you'll be pleased with what's in front of you – and remember to claim all the credit for the endeavour. I'm not sure where the 'Sleigh Cot' bit comes into it, but it might have something to do with the rounded ends that could look like a sleigh, if you get your imagination to work overtime.

Once fully assembled it's nice and sturdy, well made and looks good too. I like the sliding drawer underneath. Other cots in the family have had no access to store anything underneath, so having...

An investment. Built to last, 30 Nov. 2015

A clean, modern design.

And a solid beech (hardwood) construction. Not cheap tat like pine or the dreaded MDF.

It's popular these days; it has been a decade-long trend to use pastel colour paints on wooden furnishings, especially in kitchens, and I suppose brilliant white makes things more hygienic and sterile, psychologically (peace of mind) and practically, too, in that any soiling of the woodwork can be easily spotted and cleaned. This looks good on my stripped, veneer floor. A cool, clean look one might see in a Nordic police procedural...

The bars are sturdy and tall so your little monster won't escape...

It took my mother-in-law and me three hours to construct this (hers was a self-appointed supervisory role and mine the labourer's), but I estimate that without her interference and constant criticisms, I mean supervision, it might have been achieved in a hour or just a bit longer.

It is fabulously heavy, so it has plastic...
