Blimey, this was heavy to carry indoors from where the delivery man left it. Nearly four stone of dead weight, so it's probably advisable to put this together in the room where it's going to stay, but I'm sure you had already thought of that.
The first thing you want to know is that it will take two of you to assemble (you to supervise, her to put it together). It isn't difficult, merely time consuming but considering who it's for, it will be time well spent. An hour or so later, you'll be pleased with what's in front of you – and remember to claim all the credit for the endeavour. I'm not sure where the 'Sleigh Cot' bit comes into it, but it might have something to do with the rounded ends that could look like a sleigh, if you get your imagination to work overtime.
Once fully assembled it's nice and sturdy, well made and looks good too. I like the sliding drawer underneath. Other cots in the family have had no access to store anything underneath, so having...

A clean, modern design.
And a solid beech (hardwood) construction. Not cheap tat like pine or the dreaded MDF.
It's popular these days; it has been a decade-long trend to use pastel colour paints on wooden furnishings, especially in kitchens, and I suppose brilliant white makes things more hygienic and sterile, psychologically (peace of mind) and practically, too, in that any soiling of the woodwork can be easily spotted and cleaned. This looks good on my stripped, veneer floor. A cool, clean look one might see in a Nordic police procedural...
The bars are sturdy and tall so your little monster won't escape...
It took my mother-in-law and me three hours to construct this (hers was a self-appointed supervisory role and mine the labourer's), but I estimate that without her interference and constant criticisms, I mean supervision, it might have been achieved in a hour or just a bit longer.
