This brush was perfect for what I wanted it for, which is the removal of cradle cap. I regally apply olive oil and for the first few treatments a slightly course cotton baby grow was enough to gently remove the softened flakes. As my daughters hair got longer the technique was not sufficient. The reviews saying this brush is not as soft as other brushes are correct. It is not so tough that she complained when I removed the cradle cap, in fact she fell asleep but I was using it very gently. Multi directional brushing the day after applying olive oil to the scalp was sufficient to remove 90%. When the cradle cap has been entirely removed and does not reoccur I will get a softer brush (hence 4 stars- If I was a small sensory creature I would want luxury on my head).
