Fisher-Price Walk & Ride Lion is available in Walkers

This adorable lion grows with your developing child, from his first strides to his first ride. In walker mode, your little one can grasp onto the chunky handle and experiment putting one foot in front of the other. A large wheelbase provides ample stability.

When Baby is ready, simply fold the lion's tail down to convert the walker into a ride-on. In ride-on mode, your little rider can use the lion's ears as handgrips. A large seat gives your child plenty of room. Lion features a soft tuft of hair around its ears. Touch its nose to hear music or a mighty roar! Music and sounds also encourage and reward your baby as he walks or rides around the house. Requires 2 "AA" batteries (included). Measures 19"L x 13"W x 15"H.

A roaring success!, 23 Jun. 2010

I brought the Fisher Price lion for my daughter when she was 8 months old (a couple of weeks before she was crawling).

The lion works in 2 ways - as a ride-on and a walker.

To use the ride-on the child just sits on and pushes themselves along with their feet. To use the walker there is a catch on the back of the lion, pull the catch out, lift the seat up and clip it into place and it's all done! This is a job for the adults.

Before my daughter could walk and crawl she just enjoyed sitting on it (with supervision) and dancing to the music but when she started toddling she got the most out of it and starting pushing it around, then getting on and off herself and cruising around the house.

The lion is a handsome little chap and has big ears to hold on to. One of the best parts of the lion is his music. Press his big purple nose and he starts playing music and roaring whilst flashing his nose. This is very cute but can get a little tedious after...

Very, very good., 14 July 2009
My husband and I bought this for our one-year-old as he was walking around the sofa. It took him about 5 minutes to get used to it and then was walking, with great confidence, from one side of the room to the other with it, stopping every so often to hit the lion's nose to make him roar or to applaud himself! After a week of having this walker, he took an unaided step. He absolutely loves the cheerful music and the textured mane and, when he's bigger, this will be a lovely ride-on that will last him until he's well over two.The reason it dropped a star is because, in my opinion, it could have had some more activities around the front instead of just a button nose and two little plastic bugs on very short runners on either side of the lion's face which really don't serve any purpose at all. However, for what it is, it's excellent.
