Misleading term - 100%, 19 Aug. 2013

This item advertised on Amazon as "Fruit Of The Earth Fruit Of The Earth 100 % Aloe Vera Gel" is not 100% gel - cleverly disguised in the legal disclaimer it points out - " Actual product packaging and materials may contain more and/or different information than that shown on our website . . . . etc " The aloe vera gel contains additives amongst other things including - preservatives - not identified, stabilizers - not identified, triethanolamine, tocopheryl acetate, carbomer, tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea. i.e. this is not 100% aloe vera gel as it contains the other chemicals added to it. I consider this to be deliberate deception!!!! If the product is advertised as 100% aloe vera gel it should not contain any other substances and be 100% aloe vera gel with nothing else added to it otherwise it can not be 100% aloe vera gel - I want my money back!!!

I personally love it - great for skin and hair. TIP - to make a deep hair condioner. Mix a good squeeze to any conditioner. Add a few drops virgin olive oil (too heavy handed will make hair greasy so be light handed). Mix together and apply to damp washed hair. Cover with a shower cap - I simply use a plastic supermarket bag - and lleave it to do its magic. After 20mins ...or as long as you like... rinse and style.

Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel (12 ounce) 100% gel has been a godsend for both my hair and beauty budget since I discovered it at my job. I say this because I have a naturally type 3 curly hair type (turns type 2 wavy when chemically relaxed) that goes through a lot of hair product during the month (less since I chemically relax it, but I go through more gel on my 5th or 6th month or longer before relaxing my hair again) and I feel lucky to find something affordable. However, this clear color Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera gel is best for someone who shampoos their hair every day and/or no less than 2-3 times a week due to the buildup that can result from the hardness of the gel if left in too long during the week (ideally the gel is best left in 48 hours maximum or less). It is actually also made for skin prone to sunburn, but it has been cost effective and helpful for my hair.
