I had thought of these baby carrier wraps and other similar, to be "long, complicated, time wasting, only for newborns ... etc" so i just stay away from them and go for the usual rucksack design baby carriers.
I had bought one similar for a friend as a gift for her newborn, tried it and completely fell in love with it, and had to have one of my own.
It was delivered so quickly and is superb. Basically a long stretchy piece of material that is wrapped around the body to allow the baby to be tucked in a frog jump, chest facing, forward, and back position. The wrap is quick and easy to wear, providing more comfort on the shoulders, taking away the usual shoulder straps than can be painful over time of wear and as well as the usual lower back pains that come with the common carriers.
The material is soft and light, though very strong and well made, perfect for the few hot days we get in London. I and my son usually sweat like crazy with the other carrier but...

I really like this product, i have two other sling carriers but they gape at the top causing my babies head to fling about a bit. This product appealed as the baby is very close to you and baby looks more comfortable than in my other slings. I need this sling in my life as i have a "velcro baby" who doesn't like to be put down at all.....as expected this makes it very hard to get my housework done and look after my 2 year old. Using this product allows me to continue to look after and play with my toddler and keep up to date with my housework.
I am also on a top floor flat without a lift and using this sling leaves my hands free to carry bags up and down the stairs. This also seems to alleviate my baby's re-flux.
When you receive the product it tells you that the instructions are enclosed however i didn't have this. i went to the website for guidance so this wasn't a big deal. I am carrying some extra weight after having a baby and the material didn't tie around...

I have seen few parents struggling with these kinda of sling wraps in their video blogs, but it's REALLY simple.
Not to mention it looks great, I'm considering wearing it as wrap-over shirt after my baby grows out of it too.
I can't wait to try it out with my baby in few months! I've put a sack approximate size of the newborn and it looked quite good(yeah, even with sack).
The material seems quite durable and you wrap it in a way that there's no way that it could just unwrap and the baby fall out.
Plus, I haven't realised it will be easy to take the baby in and out of the sling-you don't have to unwrap it to get the baby out or wrap it around the baby.
Only reason that I'm giving this one star less is obviously the price. I just find all of these slings expensive and wouldn't mind getting a second-hand one, as they are just bit sturdier pieces of fabric cut out in certain dimensions.
