I got these for a friend who is currently struggling with potty training her 3.5 year old son. She was letting him run around in the summer with just underwear on and sometimes not even that, simply to reduce the amount of washing, but she can't carry on doing that now that the weather is changing. Also, she needed a backup plan for when she meets friends for lunch or coffee and brings her son along. These should give her an extra few minutes of running time to find a toilet once he's told her he needs one. He usually leaves it to the last second!!
The best thing about these training pants is that they are reusable (saving loads of money is you've been buying pullups) as you can washing them at 40 degrees in your washing machine.

The best thing I have done is buy these for my 3 year old. He has been potty training since I think it was around when he turned 2 - a long time anyway. I read that the best time to really start potty training and getting them out of nappies is between the ages 2 & 3 as they are more able to hold their wee so as he was showing no signs of interest in the potty we waited. It has been a very tough time getting him out of nappies/pull ups.
They make pull ups far too absorbent and comfortable and so she was not acknowledging he was wet. I found these training pants after reading up on things to try and I am so glad I bought them and probe should have got some sooner - lesson learnt for...

I found that when potty training my son that I was going through so much washing becuase of the amounts of accidents he was having. Each time it was a pair of underwear,trousers and socks. It was very frustrating not to mention my electric bill had risen quite considerably. So when I saw these I wanted to give them a try, knowing that he would continue to have accidents but hoping that the pants would absorb the wee to stop his trousers and socks.
Unfortunately these did not work as well as I had hoped. If your child is having poo accidents in these then you would be fine, they would stop the poo getting into the other clothes etc but my son never poo's his pants only ever has wee's. These pant's do not absorb very well, depending on how large the wee is it either soaks down the legs and wets his trousers and socks anyway or the wee just puddles in the pants (not absorbed at all) so when you pull them down the wee goes everywhere including yourself.
