I bought this item as I quite often suffer from lower back problems. The fact that I can heat it up and wrap it round my back is great as it stays in one place without slipping. Even though the heat pad doesn't stay hot for too long, it still gives me relief from the pain for a while and I can easily just heat it up again when needed. I have worn this to work on a few occasions and nobody at work has even noticed. Luckily we have a microwave at work so it's simple to heat the pad when needed.The other reason I bought it was because my 12 year old son plays shinty for our local team and although it's a great sport it can result in him being hurt at times when he is tackling, So this is a great standby for any future knocks he may receive.

Great pack. Nice and big. Slightly odd that the pouch that it needs to go into is rounded off at one end so i makes it awkward to insert the pack. You have to push down the corners when frozen...which I worry doesn't do the pack much good. Otherwise good and sturdy and the elastic belt works well with plenty of elasticity so you are not too 'trussed up' and uncomfortable.Price could be a bit lower!!!
