I have had this thermometer for a couple of years and it has not failed me once and am impressed how accurate it is. I use it to measure my metabolic and waking basal temperature orally.

Range: 32.0 °C to 43.9°C

Display: Large Liquid crystal display 3 1/2 digits

Battery: (included) Micro Alkaline 192 or LR41 1.55V which can be replaced by removing the blue cap on the top.

Beeper: Approx. 10 secs. sound signal when peak temperature reached.

Memory: Built-in memory enabling display of the previously measured value by depressing the on/off button for a few seconds - very valuable if you're too sick to write it down.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

1. When the symbol " " appears, the battery needs to be replaced.

2. Pull the battery cover and the plug off in the direction as shown.

3. Use a toothpick or insulated probe to remove the battery. Avoid using any sharp metal object in this

I was surprised how good this was for the price. Well made and accurate,with a clear easy to read display. I checked the accuracy against a mercury thermometer of known calibration and there was no variation.
