Gillette Fusion ProGlide gives you noticeably smooth skin in a single stroke, even over contours. Worth a try but all down to personal preference, 23 Mar. 2015

I'm upgrading from the previous Fusion ProGlide model (with no flexball). I noticed a VERY distinct difference right away compared to the old model so it takes some getting used to. It is a very different feel on your skin. I felt the precision/glide of the shave had stepped up so much you could barely feel it on your skin and thus wasn't completely sure how much pressure to use. My brother tried one at the same time and we found the first few uses were quite sore compared to older models.

Now I've been using it for a good two weeks I can't say it gives a much better shave than its predecessor. I am very clean shaven and I still have to go over my face just as many times as the old model. On closer inspection of the blades between the two models they look completely the same, so it is just a matter of preference whether you enjoy the feel of the flexball technology or not.

This one is definitely down to preference but worth a try if you need a new razor. I...

Flexball - rocks!, 28 Feb. 2015

I've used many different types of wet shave razor, probably every gimmick but invariably return to a good quality blade. I can honestly say Gillette has always been a favourite and I was intrigued to try this razor our from the Fusion Proglide range.

The concept and theory is very simple, depending on how you shave, there is a good chance you pull across the hairs as you come down the side of your face or chin, what the Flexball offers is a response to these facial contours by smoothly following in the direction you are going and so maintaining the important vertical line that really does appear to reduce the pull and associated irritation that can occur.

The Flexball is basically just a small pivot that allows the head to move in motion with your direction but it does feel good and clean with little need to 'go back'.

I have a good thick stubble and need to shave daily to maintain a clean appearance and I've put this to the test with very positive...

A premium razor for those with deep pockets., 4 Mar. 2015

I personally think, having tried the 3 and 4 bladed models that preceded this one, that 2 blades is actually perfectly sufficient to get a good clean shave. As long as it's a new head then any amount of blades on top of this don't seem to make a noticeable difference to me.

Once again, we have a beautifully constructed bit of shaving kit which requires rather expensive replacement heads once you've blunted the ONE it comes packaged with.

The rotating "Dyson" ball addition really makes no difference as far as I can tell and seems purely a gimmick added to differentiate this from what came before.

As to performance, it does a fine job with a minimum amount of repeat passovers required before the face felt baby bum smooth. I miss the rear single blade that one of the previous models had, as that was handy for those little bits around the mouth that most of us tend to miss during the main job.

The handle is reassuringly heavy for the price and ergonomically...
