Excellence but at a price, 14 May 2011

In 50+ years of shaving I've tried almost every shaving device known to man (cutthroat excepted) and I am bound to say that the new Gillette tops them all. A very smooth comfortable shave in double quick time. Of course every mans stubble is different and what suits one person may not suit another, even so I would still rate the Fusion ProGlide over any other blade on the market. However, one does come to the stumbling block of the price, is it THAT much better? This is down to personal experience, I think so, others may not, I would definitely recommend a trial. As for the longevity of the blades I think many people would be surprised when I say I get at least 3 weeks comfortable shaving from each blade, one reviewer (of the 6pack) only managed to achieve 3 days! So, how come 3 weeks? The trick is to soften the stubble thoroughly before setting blade to face. A flannel soaked in water as hot as one can bear and applied to the face for around 15 to 20 seconds, repeated 3 or 4 times,...

Pricey.... but worth it!, 27 May 2011

These are pricey shaver heads however when you compare them from other top brands, they aren't actually that much different in price, the reality of it is shaving products these days are... ridiculously expensive, so you have one of many choice; to grow your beard like a caveman or trim it down, shave your beard with a cheap razor and have a not so comfortable experience or spend that bit extra and have a really comfortable shave; personally I would rather go for the comfortable shave even if it does burn a hole in my pockets.

I shave both my head and beard and recently I have had some razor problem with some uncomfortable dragging when shaving, that is until I stumbled across this sleek beast, this thing literally glides across my skin for the most comfortable shave I've had in a long, so in all this has to have top marks from me!

Although I would recommend spending that bit extra and go for the 6 pack:...

Arrived in good time and sold at a reasonable price.It does appear that the 'wear' strip changes colour a little too early. I kept going for some time after the strip had changed from blue to white.
