Ok so these catches are very cheap so my expectations were already pretty low. Turns out my initial expectations were correct.

Firstly the catches completely defeat the object. You unlock the catch by pressing the button on the front of the catch. After about a week my son had already figured out how to unlock the catches. The design of the catch is too simple for a lock that is clear to see for a baby or toddler. Not to mention once you have them all on your draws, cupboards, fridge etc. they look pretty awful.

Lastly the speed of postage was pretty pathetic. Just over 2 months between ordering the product and receiving it. I contacted the seller after 4 weeks to be told that as the product is coming from China it takes up to a month, which seemed ridiculous anyway, never mind the 2 months I actually had to wait.

Don't waste your time with this product. Yes it's very cheap which is why I was drawn in but in reality you'd be maker a wiser investment if...

I cleaned the surfaces well before adhering the door lock, and it seemed to be doing the job well, however once it has come unstuck and my 9 month old has managed to unlock it once by chance (I don't think he realised what he was doing as he's not done it again), but I don't know how long it will keep the cupboard safe from my little one! Better for a less inquisitive baby.

Sticks well and keeps cats at bay, 11 Jan. 2014
I'm not using them for babies but cats and so far these have been very good. They stick well and are easy to disconnect.
