We have been using different waterproof sheets and this is my favourite. The best about it: the material dries really quickly and after washing in the morning can be used next night (or for the afternoon nap, if you put it near a radiator). All the other waterproof sheets take at least two days to dry. So yes, it is thinner than the others and uses a different material but that is its advantage (at least if you are not using a dryer)! It's also small and handy for the suitcase, if you need one on holidays.

The sheet has a plastic like backing and causes my son to sweat horribly in the night. He even kept going to sleep on the floor until I removed this mattress cover. I really just want a thick cloth one to help absorb any messes if he wees or gets sick in the night so we can just strip off the mattress cover and sheets and put new on. I do not recommend this product at all.
