Might be worth buying in a shop to avoid one with static, 17 Sept. 2017
The balls don't flow freely due static so you have to shake it quite a lot. Disappointing as I bought it after seeing the same one at a playgroup and that one worked fine, so I guess they're a bit hit and miss. Packaging wasn't great so arrived a bit scratched, I'm glad it wasn't for a gift as it isn't great, but does keep my son interested.

Christmas gift for my grandson, 10 Jan. 2013
I think this is a great variation on the much longer Rainmaker as we used to call them. Having worked for years with pre-school children who loved them, but couldn't control turning them very well, I think this size is great for little ones. The beads don't have the momentum to all descend without a shake, but my 15 month old grandson usually turns or shakes it before then anyway, so it would only be seen as a problem by an adult! I would imagine, by about 4 years, the larger size would be better, but this would still make a fascinating 'shaker'.

Not great..., 16 Dec. 2016
NOT WORTH THE MONEY. It's not as good as other ones I have seen. Did not come in a box. Balls are static and stick to side. And there are little bits of something else (plastic?) or marks inside which do make it look dirty.
