Lovely little musical box, 3 Nov. 2012

This traditional, key wound musical box is a rather delightful little thing. The box and figures are wooden and brightly coloured. In a nice touch, the Father Christmas figure has a fabric beard (looks and feels as though it's made from wadding material). The figures move in two ways - both rotating clockwise around the 'pond' surface, and spinning on their own axes.The quality of the music is good for this type of box. 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' plays with a nice tone. Thoroughly approved by my nephew!

Adorable, 1 Oct. 2012

This little music box is beautifully made. I love it! It is just as shown. I purchased it for my the family for Christmas. My 2 daughters love seeing the Christmas decorations come out yearly & I thought this would be an adorable addition. My 1 year old & 4 year old are fascinated with it & love picking up the characters & popping them back down again. The music box plays "12 Days of Christmas" beautifully. My only gripe is that the Santa & Snowman bump hands sometimes as they turn around b/c they seem to reach out just a wee bit too far. I mentioned it to the company & they said that it didn't typically have that problem. It can be kind of cute, however, b/c it looks like they are holding hands & spinning together. We also purchased a fairy one, though, so we know that they are meant to spin around seamlessly. I said to the company that I was fine with it though so I am pleased with what I have.

Missing pieces, 16 Dec. 2013

The toy itself is extremely cute, I know someone that has one and my nieces love it so I decided to get one for our house. This seller however is abysmal, don't get it from them. The music box came without the santa piece and I was told that they didn't have to send me one and I would have to send the whole thing back. I contacted the company that the music box originally comes from however, and despite having nothing to do with the order I made they sent me out a new santa free of charge. They also told me that the box was supposed to have a cellophane casing on it to stop the pieces falling out, something that had somehow vanished between them and Yemster (trusty toys) who provided amazon with it. I would highly recommend the music box but from the original company, Orange Tree Toys!
