I was not at all impressed when I opened the box because the individual parts looked a bit tatty but once assembled it looks great. The marble base makes it very sturdy. The only fault I found was one of the balls on the end of the hooks was badly drilled and split slightly when pushed into position. I have looked at other coat stands since purchasing this one and even ones double the price were rubbish in comparison.I am extremely happy with my purchase, it looks good and is very sturdy.

But it is easy to build intuitively, 10 Dec. 2014
It is true that comprehensive instructions for assembly are missing. But it is easy to build intuitively. I am a female and not a DIY master but I managed it myself in about 20mins. Once assembled, it looks the works. It is stylish and does the job much better than some other overpriced 'modern' products we have bought in the past. I would definitely recommend this product.

Good....but problems can arise., 9 Jun. 2015
It's a good deal, but it comes without instructions - I was only able to put it together because I had experience assembling a similar model for my Dad. Also, the section you attach the hooks to had no holes and I had to form them myself (from the inventory sheet, it was apparent they were meant to have pre-made holes).
