Not a maternity dressing gown., 6 Mar. 2018

The colour and quality of the fabric on this item is fine, but unfortunately I'm really disappointed with this purchase. This is not a maternity dressing gown by any stretch of the imagination; the cut is exactly the same as a standard dressing gown, which is a real shame - even the model in the photo on the tag isn't pregnant. I was hoping for a cut that's tailored towards a pregnant figure, with extra fabric and length around the stomach area. There isn't. In fact, this is a worse ft for me than my usual dressing gown. I'm a size 10-12 pre-pregnancy and bought a 12-14 to be on the safe side, but there is no way it's going to fit me towards the end of my pregnancy (I'm 24 weeks along at the moment, my bump isn't massive, but it only just fits). I really feel like I've wasted my money.

Waited to write the review to try it on for a time and see what I think. The buttons are good idea buuut the flap keep on opening and the buttons dont stay closed... I might attach the top part for good and just use it like that. The material is nice otherwise.

Considering I ordered this in a much bigger size than I'd usually wear it comes up small. Just in the tummy area which is clearly where you need the extra room while pregnant. I'm not even that far along and people tell me all the time how small my bump is, this is not made for maternity. Nice colour though.
