I used to use Cariad Aromatherapy Shaving Oil at £7.99/50ml for years it worked really well but the product disappeared from the web about 3 months ago.I switched to this oil as a replacement and it works just the same. No razor burn or acne caused by it, unlike even the most sensitive skin formula shaving gel I could find.My skin is very prone to problems and this oil is a fantastic solution to the misery foam and gel had caused me in the past.5 stars? I'd give it 6 for being just as good as the Cariad oil and a third of the price!

I've always had very sensitive skin and hate shaving as my clothes irritate my neck and face for a good day after shaving. But I have to shave to look neat and tidy - and I like looking that way. I have tried all of the Gillette Sensitive skin brands and to be fair I did find one that gave less shave burn than the others. I also use their excellent pro-glide blades which cost a fortune but which are excellent.

Now I have this oil and tried it for the first time this morning. The first thing that you notice is how little you need and how thick and greasy the oil is. But I "hotted" my cheeks and neck, applied the oil (used too much - will use less next time) and then (this is how I do it) I put Gillette shave gel Sensitive on top.

I shaved using a brand new Gillette blade and once finished went into my wife to tell her I had just had the best shave I had had for 10 years. It was smooth while shaving and feels great afterwards. Like I said, I have very sensitive skin so I am...

this appears to be best suited to shaving with a straight razor or shavette. this has greatly boosted the shaving experience. I no longer worry about razor burn and I get much fewer nicks. seems to be lots of it so it looks like one bottle will last a long time.
