When I picked these up as part of my Vine Voice membership (testing products) all I can say is, it wasn't obvious this a box of only rollers for the Tony & Guy heated roller pack. As it is, this is just four medium sized rollers with clips that came with no product to heat them so all I can do is give them a vague review based on my using my GHD straightener's to add some heat to the hair before quickly putting a roller in and clipping it.

Admittedly, it doesn't do much to my hair, but my hair is in a pixie cut so all I was looking for was volume and a bit of roundness and body - they didn't really deliver much of that. Perhaps with a bit of spray and a hairdryer? Not sure what else to say. I can only do what I can as I didn't realise there wasn't any way to heat them. Oh well.

The rollers themselves are quite solid, unlike a lot of hot rollers I've tried in the past, these don't have Velcro or just plain slippery plastic bodies, but rather a nice fuzzy...

Need a separate roller set to work properly, 26 Sept. 2015

I cannot give these rollers a proper review as the package and product description are misleading. These rollers work only with the heated roller system Toni & Guy TGHS6501 Salon Professional Extreme Volume Roller Set which I don't have! However nowhere does it tell you that you need this, apart from in tiny print underneath the box. So you need to buy the set and then these can be bought as additional extra.

I have tried the set of rollers out with a regular hair dryer, I really like the rollers. They are covered in a black velour type fabric so don't catch on you hair at all. You roll up the hair and put the clip on to to the roller. The clip sits a little too loosely, and it keeps the roller in place if you don't move at all! The clip also has a metal layer inside so will also heat up to help set the hair. You can just lightly pull the clip down and the roller unwinds, you don't even have to unclip it. These are misdescribed and mislabeled as they are not a det that can be customised with other rollers but are the EXTRA ROLLERS themselves. It is a set of 4 additional rollers to use with the larger Extreme Volume Roller Set which comes in a storage box which heats the metal strip inside the rollers up. The rollers are nice- the barrel is flocked and there are butterfly clips to hold them in place that have metal strips inside them (which can be removed and reclicked in place if necessary) so nothing pulls or snags on your hair.

As I don't have the larger set I could not heat them up and found they slipped a bit in my hair due to the lack of traction that the flock barrel gives. They seem like a quality product but I felt a bit cheated that I did not realise they were add ons - even the box does not make this clear. It says on the base they can be used with Toni and Guy Extreme Volume Rollers - which is what they are but noting about needing the base unit which is crucial...
