Easy to assemble - spacious - looks good, 31 Aug. 2011

This was really easy to assemble even with kids awake and that is a major + for me. It is light enough to carry easily but sturdy enough not to be moved about in the bedroom. I took a star off as the lid is not hinged so has to be removed by an adult and I'm not sure if it may look a bit marked after some months as when assembling it the screw slipped and left a tiny mark. All in all a good buy!

Me again with an update! My baby caught his fingers under the lid of another toy box with hinges so maybe the removable lid is a good idea after all! The lid looks a bit tatty along one side where we put it on the floor but nothing major.

Back again - depending on your needs you may find the worlds apart bin storage unit more useful. My youngest(under 2) finds the toy box too deep to reach his toys easily and has to pull out lots of toys and make a mess!!! to reach what he wants so we get far more use from the bin storage unit (see my other review). When considering purchasing this toybox, I was a little worried that it may be too small for the mountainous pile of toys my 19 month old has aquired. However once constructed and toys entered, I was very much put at ease.It was so so easy to put together - a one man, well.. woman job!I can't complain at all - my son loves it and it does the job for us.The only little niggle is that it would be nice to have a hinge on the lid to open and close as opposed to lift on, lift off.But overall, a fantastic product.

Great value toy box. Was very easy to put together and is a good solid construction. My only gripe is that the lid does not have a hinge - it is a lift-off lid. But for the price, this is a good product and looks great in my son's bedroom.
