I have quite long hair ( past shoulders) and it is quite course and thick. I followed the instructions for the henna and it was very easy to use and not messy at all ( just dampen hair first) I left it on for the full 40 mins, thinking I would need it with my type of hair, but be aware this cream works very well, I used mahogony on my dark brown/grey hair ( about 50 per cent grey) and it turned very coppery, a bit too bright, but I was not worried as it does wash out; so next time i will use the chocolate or dark brown henna and leave it on for half the time. My hair was silky and shiny after use, henna does transfer onto towels for several washes so keep an old towel handy and enjoy.

I have been using henna creams to brighten up my naturally auburn hair for about three years now. My hair used to be naturally darkish auburn rather than ginger (think 'Amy Pond red') but now I'm in my forties it's fading.

I was using the Surya Henna cream and found it nice, with fairly subtle results .I would recommend trying the Surya cream range if you cant get hold of this one or if you find the Henne Color too vibrant.

After I had trouble getting hold of Surya cream, I tried the Auburn Henne Color creme and I was really pleased, It is exactly the same way to apply- just massage it in to towel-dried hair and wait-, but gave a more vibrant, but still natural looking colour in less time. The original colour does fade a little on me over about two weeks, when it starts to look lighter red, but it doesnt actually wash out completely...the henna seems to stay semi-permanently as i can detect a bit of growth at the roots over time, but nothing very obvious.

Have been using powdered henna for a while and decided to try the cream as it is less messy. Applies just like a normal hair dye onto wet hair, leave for required time and rinse ! Surprised as the bottle is small but does cover hair well. I had to use two bottles on naturally long curly red hair, loved end result.
