I'm already very familiar with the Hippychick brand as I have bought quite a lot of their products in the past and especially their
, of which I have now bought 6 packs (4 in the large size and 2 in the small size) over the last few years. Just to explain you don't need that many packs for a cot and that the amount I bought was to cover both my sons cot when he was a baby in the blue design and then last year to cover my baby daughters cot in the pink (I have cots which have bars all of the way around and so I found I needed 2 large and 1 small pack per cot). It's slightly the wrong time of year to be reviewing this, moving in to summer, as the Hippychick Toddler Footmuff is very much an spring, autumn, winter use product. Its ingenious design means that it is suitable for both cooler and cold weather, as the front covers - two are supplied - are of varying thicknesses, a lightly padded fleece and Teflon fabric cover for spring and autumn and a heavier, thicker fabric cover for winter .
They come packaged in a sturdy see through zipped storage bag with handle, great for keeping the item clean whilst in in storage.
They zip on and off via a chunky plastic zip and both covers feature a fold down feature for slightly warmer days, with an embroidered pocket in front. Hippychick state that this will keep little hands warm; in my experience many small children hate to have their hands covered, but the pocket will probably be a useful storage place for wipes, biscuits and small toys.

These Hippychick Footmuffs are really well made and constructed
They are designed to fit most strollers and suitable for most 3 and 5 point harnesses but of course it pays to check it will fit yours.
The same goes for the car seats these need to have 12 slots of this (Toddler) the new born just 7. So again check.
They are also warm thanks to the excellent fleece and wind proofing qualities.
They are season adaptable the warm Winter cover goes over the Spring/Autumn one.
Too hot just unzip the sides or even take them off to provide ventilation- the base layer stays put and is as comfy as it looks.
A word on the zips here they are heavy duty, well stitched and attached and they extend fully around the whole foot muff.
In Summer you won't need a foot muff of course.
