The infrared thermometer is a must have.As a mother and a pediatric nurse I'm used to checking children's temperatures when they are feeling a little under the weather.I cannot recommend the product enough. It's easy to use-self explanatory. Light weight and comes with a pouch to store it in. The mute button is something most other thermometers don't have. Allowing you to check on your little ones temperatures without disturbing them.The other functions are also useful. The thermometer can also scan for room temperature. Again perfect for making sure your little ones are well looked after in an adequately heated room.I compared it with other thermometers (ear and under arm) and the results were almost identical. Which is reassuring.Would recommend to all my friends.

Absolutely love this thermometer, you can easily switch modes from body, room and surface. It glows green for OK, amber for warning and red for high so even if you lose the manual it's still very usable, also comes with a grey suede feel bag. My daughters usually hard to get a proper reading from as she's like most 5 year olds, will not sit still with a thermometer for more than five seconds so if you have kids I'd highly recommend getting one. I did get this to test and review at a discount but if know about them when she was born I'd of definitely got one

Wow, has technology ever come a long way! When the seller asked me to review this and share my honest and unbiased review I was prepared to say that there's no way that it would work. But much to my surprise, they prove me wrong.

This is a handheld thermometer that allows you to get a temperature by not even touching the person. You simply hold it 1.2 - 2.0 inches from the surface of the sking and press the button and in one second, you have the reading not only on the large, backlit display but if you have the voice turned on, it will also say it.

You can read not only the body temperature but also a surface and air temperature as well. I wish I had this 20 years ago when my kids were little and you'd go in at midnight to take their temperature. I'd have to turn the light on, shake the thermometer (they didn't have digital ones yet) and then place it under their tongue or arm pit. Of course that would wake them up and I'd have to get them back to sleep when...
