First of all the bedding set is not cotton. It's 100% synthetic and I wouldn't let my baby's skin touch anything like that.Second last night we tried the co-sleeping position of the crib and I had to put two robes between the crib and the bed because the gap was too big. Another thing is that because I had to lower the mattress there was a second gap on the other side which I had to fill with something so I tried to pull the bumper down and stick it behind the back.Third I thought that if I'd lock all four wheels that my baby would be safe and crib would not go anywhere. Wrong. It's the same as if I hadn't locked them.I love this crib in the regular crib position though. And my son loves it too. The canopy is pretty too and the mattress firm for his spine.

The crib it's self is good value. However,the mattress is nothing more than wadding which is completely unsuitable. The dimensions of the crib make it a little difficult to buy a mattress off the shelf,so I suggest having one made if you are buying the crib. There are many bespoke baby mattress companies online that are very good quality and inexspensive. Also,the crib comes with alot of bedding,bumpers and stuff.I found the quality not great,but if money is an issue they would surfice.

Good for the price, 25 Nov. 2012

I bought this for a fractious newborn who for the first 9 nights would only sleep on my chest in the hope of getting some sleep.

It was easy to assemble although levelling the base was a little tricky. The instructions for using as a co sleeper weren't very clear though. There was about a 5cm gap between the crib and the bed ( mainly due to the frame of Our bed but there would always be some gap. We placed a bit of the packaging under the mattress to fill this gap. This then left a gap at the other side which we padded with the bumper! Also for lower beds there would be a gap between the crib sides and the base.

The bedding is ok but not cotton and I wasn't planning on using it anyway.

The mattress is just a piece of foam and I could find no baby safety information on it so I bought another one at standard crib size which fitted.

We also removed the wheels and tied the whole thing to our bed as I was worried about it moving and my baby getting trapped in the...
