How it works
You have to apply the batteries to the Ear thermometer. Which is just underneath the LCD window. Its really easy to do and very straight forward.One clip off add the batteries and clip back on.
You then press the on button which is next to the LCD screen also.
Once on place the thermometer into the ear to get read your temperature

I have used this kind of thermometer for a few years now and have always found them easier to use (especially with infants) and more accurate than the old school type. It arrived in a nice simple box and was very well protected and packaged. Inside the box you get the thermometer, a stand, a bag, some batteries and some very well written, albeit tiny, instructions so everything you need to get going immediately (always a bonus!). There really is not much to it. Put the batteries in, turn it on, place the pointy end just inside the ear and press and hold the scan button for about 1 second until it beeps to tell you that it has taken a reading. I tried it on myself and the result was 36.5 degrees Celsius which is bang on as normal body temperature is ranges between 36.1C (97F) to 37.2C (99F). The Infared Digital Thermometer comes in typical Hylogy fashion with a white sleeve on the outside with an image of the thermometer on the front alongside the model number and Hylogy branding.
Inside there is a brown box which has some information about recycling and the Hylogy logo again, the box contains the thermometer, a handy stand, 2 AAA batteries, a user manual and an incredibly soft pouch to carry the thermometer if you go anywhere.
Once the batteries are placed into the thermometer you press the power button for a couple of seconds and then the screen will temporarily brighten so you can see the dials but it will then dim again. Then once you press the scan button then it should take around 3-4 seconds and you will get a beep which will indicate the temperature. This is incredibly fast compared to even proper GP ones.
