The gates are ok, the plastic handle does look slightly cheap, and shows signs of 'splitting open' when used.
However the biggest problem I found with the gates was the requirement to use holders (supplied) to secure the gates in place. These have to be either screwed into the wall / wood frame or by use of double sided tape fixers to achieve the same effect.
If these are not used then the gate holds fine when used with the pressure screw adjusters only, if it is done up tight enough to hold the gate in place. Yet by doing this the centre 'door section' becomes redundant and unusable as it can't be opened when fitted this way. The reason being once you open the walk through section, the top of the gate becomes loose and unstable. This resulted in the gate (and my daughter) falling over. Thankfully we were going up the stairs and she fell onto the landing, Had it been the other way around, well...
As I said at the start the gates are ok, but need to be permanently fixed...
