Featuring our unique SoftBeat RhythmsTM, sweet heartbeat vibrations will help soothe baby so that you can move through your day at ease. Functions: The Heartbeat function: Press the Heartbeat button. The top green LED will illuminate, indicating the heartbeat function is turned on. The heartbeat function automatically turns OFF after 30 minutes of continuous operation. Pressing the Heartbeat button twice causes the Bounce/music unit to go into standby mode. The Bounce Function: Press the Bounce button. The bottom green LED will illuminate, indicating the the bounce function is turned on. The bounce function operates at one speed and automatically turns OFF after 30 minutes of continuous operation. pressing the Bounce button twice causes the Bounce/music unit to go into standby mode. Music/Sounds function: Press the Music/Sound button to alternate between music and nature sounds. When the Music/Sounds function is activated, the volume level will be previously selected. We got this bouncer for our 5-month-old, as there isn’t a clear age range in the product description and we assumed that he should still be comfortably the right size for it. As it happens he’s not- he’s already only a couple of centimetres from being too big for it.
However, because he can now sit up, he had quite a lot of fun with it anyway. He could bounce the bouncer a lot more energetically with his own leg movements than the movements you get from the motor. He treats it like some sort of mini-trampoline, but totally safe. Quite fun in its own way, but not what the manufacturers intended.
The build quality is generally very good. The electronic box of tricks is straightforward, and the melodies that it generates are reasonably high quality, considering the normal poor standard of electronic bleeps you get from music boxes for babies. Overall if you are looking for a soothing bouncer for a newborn so you can actually have a shower or have a warm-ish cup of tea in those early days then this really is a Rolls Royce of a bouncy chair, if you have a big baby, then it's not going to last you long!
With my daughter I struggled to find the 'right' chair for her, they were either too big (she is tiny still at nearly 2 she could have still sat in this weight wise) woke her up because it wasn't moving, wolfed batteries like my dog does treats or were so flimsy they resembled slings on wire coat hangers prompting Mommy Dearest quotes. Thus, I ended up holding her for much of the first 6 months of her life which was lovely attachment parenting but sometimes mummy needs a break, or indeed a wee without another adult around to hold baby. This chair is intended for next baby and it does look like a great option.

This is self-assembly that it's reasonably easy to put together and comes with full instructions. All you need is a screwdriver. All fittings are provided. You also need to fit batteries into the box on the base. It comes with a harness. This is a little bit more substantial than other baby bouncers I've tried.
You need to press the button on the box to get the unit working. It runs for 30 minutes and then stops automatically. There are several options you can choose. There is the heartbeat function, there is the music function and you can alternate between music and nature sounds. It runs through a selection of eight tunes. If you want to select the nature sounds this plays for about 20 minutes. There is a volume control so you can set it to one of three volumes: low, medium or high.
